Got Milk?
(Sorry, you know I had to have that for my title.)
We spent the weekend about two hours away in Jerome visiting my little sister Lindsay and her husband Brandon. Since graduating from the Y in April, Brandon has started working as a manager at a large dairy farm. They live in an older home right next to the dairy, way out in the country (definitely not the life any of us envisioned for Lindsay, but she's learning to love it... right Linds?)
The kids had a great time in their big yard climbing trees, looking for eggs (there are a million birds!) and trying to catch baby mice. Mallory was in heaven.
Saturday morning Brandon took us on a tour of the dairy. It is huge with over 13,000 cows (and believe it or not it didn't smell that bad!).
The kids loved getting to bottle-feed the baby calves.
Then we went to see all the calves that had been born just that morning.
Mallory thought it was cute that this one seemed to like her...
until it started wiping it's slimy nose all over her.
And to end the tour Brandon gloved up to help deliver a calf right in front of our eyes. Lucky for all of you my camera battery died just as it was coming out. Believe me, it's a sight you wouldn't soon forget (I know my kids won't!)
Up next...Shoshone Falls!

Spring Sports
Last Saturday we finished up the boys' season of spring sports. Brady did his second year of soccer and Dallin played flag football again. Since it was early spring in Idaho Mark and I spent many freezing, early Saturday mornings bundled up on the sidelines cheering them on. Brady has improved a lot since last year and loved getting to play goalie. (Thank you Celeste for the awesome pics!)
Dallin continues to love football and had a great time on this team (he discovered it's fun when you actually win, unlike last season.) On to tackle football starting in August with practices four times a week. What am I getting myself into?

Lost without Lost
After watching every single moment of Lost over the past few years (mostly on DVD until we were caught up last season) I can't believe it's over. I absolutely loved the finale. There were so many touching moments as everyone was reunited. While not all of my questions were answered (let's face it, I never could understand what was going on) I am definitely satisfied by the ending. I'm just left feeling lost without something to watch with Mark at night after the kids are in bed. I don't really see him becoming a big fan of "So You Think You Can Dance".

Blooming
Am I the only one who has a kitchen counter that has turned into a greenhouse? Every few days my kids are bringing home some sort of plant or flower. Must be spring.
