January Blahs

We have not seen the sun here for over a week. I am hating it! Every day we wake up to same gray cloudy yuck. And the snow has all melted so it's not even pretty all around, just brown and dead. The weather report said we might have some sun on Thursday (three days away!). I'm not used to this dreary winterness, it's almost like we're living in the Pacific Northwest (oh wait...maybe we kinda are...) The weather leaves me feeling blah, with no energy to do anything and no desire to leave my house. If you consider yourself my friend you will not leave a comment telling me how glorious the winter has been in Phoenix this year. I'm well aware. Instead tell me how awful it is where you live and how you're coping with the winter doldrums.

My friend in Illinois said that it was -30 last week and so cold that they had to cancel school. She said when its that cold that you cant go outside becuase if you breath in that air for very long your lungs will freeze! THATS crappy weather!:)

don't feel bad. I still don't want to leave my house or do anything and I can't blame it on the weather. dang it! What excuse do I have to just sit and read a book?

we're having the coldest temps in years too. I do get some sunshine but then my kids think it's nice out so I have to sit outside and watch them ride scooters while the temp hovers around 20 degrees. i'd much rather hover indoors until march.

The worst part of Michigan? Knowing that it is at least four months before the kids will be out running through the sprinklers. We have been know to get snow in freaking April.

But it is lovely here in the summer and fall.........

Will do, but if you consider yourself my friend, don't mention the glorious weather Idaho is having in the middle of July :)

p.s. I actually hate that it's warming up already down here. "Cold" is so short lived in Phx.

Turn on your beautiful fireplace, get a good book, a warm cup of hot chocolate, and a cozy soft blanket, and enjoy the cold overcast weather. It will be gone before you know it.

Misery loves company....and believe me I am good company! I feel your pain and don't leave the house either. Remind me why we all decided to leave Arizona again. Is it summer yet? I haven't been outside to see.
